Halal Radar
Terms of Service
Last updated: August 23, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, accessing or using Halal Radar ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Halal Radar is a reference tool that compiles and explains existing information from public databases and recognized certifiers to help you assess whether a product's ingredients are halal, haram or doubtful. It is not a halal certification authority, and its analyses are not a religious fatwa. When in doubt, always refer to the certifying body named on the packaging (such as JAKIM, IFANCA and others).
3. Accounts
Some features may require an account or be tied to your app store identity. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions
- The Service offers a free plan and an optional Premium plan.
- Premium is billed at $0.99 per month or $9.99 per year, via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period through your store account settings.
- Free plans may include limited daily scans and advertisements.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to reverse engineer it, infringe intellectual property, submit false or unlawful content, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its design and content are owned by Halal Radar or its licensors. Product and ingredient data originate from third parties such as Open Food Facts and are governed by their licenses. You may not copy or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any classification, database entry or source. Verdicts are informational and should not replace the advice of a qualified religious authority or the certifying marks on a product. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Halal Radar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription through your store.
10. Changes to the terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
11. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Halal Radar operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Questions can be sent to legal@halalradar.app.
